Today I Celebrate the Mother You Are
A toast to you.
Today I celebrate mothers around the world in a big way.
Health, health, and more health for our lives.
Today I can say it with certainty and confidence:
I take my hat off to myself.
And to you, who carries invisible worlds every single day.
You Were Designed for the Impossible
Having the strength for a life to grow inside of you is not an accident.
It is design.
Having the courage to go through the most intense and profound process in the world, knowing it may hurt…
and still saying yes, is proof that you were made for more than you imagine.
You were not given a manual.
You were given a purpose.
And within that purpose, exhaustion does not disqualify you. It confirms you.
You Keep Standing Even When No One Sees You
You keep going despite the exhaustion.
Despite the back pain, despite everything…
there you are, still standing.
Standing when no one recognizes what you do.
Standing when it seems “normal” for a woman, and therefore no one values it.
Standing when there is no support system.
Standing when the world seems against you.
It is not stubbornness.
It is love refusing to let go.
It is strength that does not come from you, but is revealed through you.
Motherhood Is a Calling of Love
Being a mother is not an empty title.
It is love. It is strength. It is bravery. It is courage.
Not only because of what you do, but because of the infinite love God places within you to nurture and raise life.
A love that is not measured by immediate results, but by seeds planted quietly.
I celebrate you. I celebrate myself.
Because even when we do not know how to do it, we still do it.
With multitasking, with our hearts in our hands, with eyes full of tears and hope.
Wow, you are a fighter! A huge hug to you.
When You Feel Like Giving Up, Remember This
And when you are about to throw in the towel,
when you feel your patience running out with your children,
remember this:
The One who gave you strength and pure love was God.
He gives according to your measure.
Not more than you can carry.
Not less than you need.
He did not abandon you in the assignment.
He walks with you through every sleepless night, every whispered prayer, every “I’ll try again.”
You are amazing. You are valuable. You are strong.
I admire you.
Because the greatest title life could ever invent is not “boss,” “doctor,” or “expert.”
It is Mother.
With love,
A woman who also carries the greatest title in history: Mother.
